What Is Search Engine Optimization?
Adjusting many small factors in your escort directory site
can slowly produce a high ranking search engine position. The
Escort Directory Software product has an array of easy to use
tools to enable you to do this.
Search engines look for a multitude of factors in deciding the
rank of your site. Strong, keyword rich content, relevant text
links, strong incoming links from other sites, meta tag optimization
and relevant URLs (page address). The Escort Directory Software
gives you complete control of each of these aspects. It should
be noted that difference search engines look for different things
in terms of ranking your site, and getting the balance of optimized
features to appear high in many search engines can be very difficult
to achieve.
Over use of any of the search engine features available on the
Escort Directory can also result in 'spamming' the search engines,
so use the tools we provide intelligently.

What I Can Do In The Content Manager
Content
Make text content as keyword rich as possible.
Use Autolink to make keyword
strong links (for example if your directory is based in New York,
use AutoLink to make 'new york escort advertising' - rather than
just 'advertise here' to link to your advertising pages.
Strong Incoming Links
While the Top 100 board should
be self managing - make sure that everyone on your board has a
link to your site on their web page.
Use Links Page Editor to
place other banners on your web site. Perform as many banner exchanges
as you can to other escort related and highly ranked sites. Send
out e-mails asking them to link to you. Make sure when adding
a new banner you fill the description text area
Alt Tags
ALT Tags are search engine feature that enables you to attach
'invisible' text to the girls image or banner image (seen when
you hover your mouse over the image). Make the text keyword rich.
Meta Data
Meta data is information hidden in the web code that is used only
by the search engines. You will have the ability to edit this
information on all pages, but primarily through the Standard
Page Editor in the content manager. You will see an area on
each editable page that looks like this:

Page Name
This is a a reference only name (as seen in AutoLink)
so that you know what the page is. Changing this will not effect
and search engine optimization.
URL
The is the web address of the page, and will always end in .htm.
By typing in a new URL you have the ability to optimize the
it so that it is geared for your local market. The content manager
will update the entire site and the AutoLink feature so that
all the other pages now link to the new URL.
Search engines like to see keyword rich URL and you can change
the generic URLs that your escort directory web site comes with
to something that pertains more to your local or target geographic
area.
Sample changes you may wish to consider:
> gallery.htm to new_york_escorts_gallery.htm
> web_services.htm to new_york_webdesigners.htm
Page Title
This is a key search engine tag. If you look at the very top
of your screen, above the browser buttons, you will see 'help
and user guide for the content manager'. This is the text
that has been entered into the Page Title Tag. You can use around
20 words, but need to keep it very keyword rich and to the point.
You may want to include your geographic area once more.
Sample changes you may wish to consider:
> escort_agencies.htm - change 'escort agencies'
to 'new york escorts agencies, escort services Manhattan'
> web_services.htm - change 'web services' to 'new
york photographers, Manhattan web designers, glamour photography
new york'
Keywords
This tag is used by some search engines, but not all. Type in
words and phrases that pertain to the page that you are editing,
and separate them by a comma. Do not over repeat the same word
(considered 'spam'), include plurals of the same word (eg escort,
escorts), include geographic information
Description
This tag is used by some search engines, but not all. Type in
a single phrase that summates the content of the page you are
editing. Frequently, this text will show up within the search
engine result of your page.
